42-year old Bryan Orme’s being held in the Charlotte County Jail without bond on a domestic violence charge.

Punta Gorda Police say they got a 911 from a friend of the victim Saturday after being told Orme was abusing her. NBC2 reports responding officers spotted a broken front window, and blood on the home’s front porch, door, and on walls inside. Concerned someone was injured, they forced their way in and spotted Orme, covered in blood, coming out of a bedroom. He was subdued after refusing to get on the floor. He reportedly told officers he was alone, but victim was found locked in another bedroom during a search. She had a black eye and bruises to her face and much of her body. They also learned Orme had gotten violent after coming home from drinking. He’s charged with domestic battery and marijuana possession.
