The investigation continues into yesterday’s shooting in Port Charlotte.
The sheriff’s office says it happened near Meehan Avenue and Aaron Street.
It received a report of a man knocked off his bicycle by a silver car in that area.
The office says this vehicle backed up and someone fired several shots.
The man on the bike had some injuries from the crash, but the gunshots did not cause any injuries.
Detectives and technicians cordoned off the area for several hours as they investigated. They believe the car hit the bicycle on purpose.
