The suspect’s 30-year old Michael Coley of Port Charlotte. The list of charges against him includes aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with the intent to commit a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and felony possession of marijuana. Detectives say this started with a car intentionally hitting a cyclist, followed by several gunshots, one of which hit a nearby home. Investigators found the car yesterday. They say the pulled Coley over for a traffic violation, and found pot in the car, and in a plastic bag they say he tossed out of the car. The car showed damage consistent with hitting a bicycle and deputies say there was evidence inside that somsone had fire shots from the car. The car, marijuana ands $1700 in cash were all seized.
