CCSO deputies are investigating reports of gunshots fired in an area near Midway Boulevard in Port Charlotte. NBC2’s reporting witnesses say the gunfire followed someone on a bicycle being hit by a car in the 21000 block of Meehan Avenue. CCSO’s Major Crimes Unit’s at the scene, and a sheriff’s department spokesperson says one person suffered a minor injury.
