An ex-medical office assistant’s been arrested by Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies for allegedly taking a shortcut to pain medication prescriptions.

Deputies say 38-year old Heather Zawacki was done in by an Englewood pharmacy’s call to Florida Urology Associates. They’d noticed some odd prescriptions in Zawacki’s name. According to the Herald-Tribune those prescriptions were for Tylenol with codeine and hydrocodone/ They started in September of 2013. Deputies allege Zawacki got over 1250-pills. She’s been charged with 33 counts of obtaining codeine by fraud, obtaining hydrocodone by fraud and two counts of criminal use of personal identification information. She’s in the County Jail on $54,000 bond.
