43-year old Jenny McKinney of Venice is out on supervised release after her arrest Friday for allegedly calling in bogus prescriptions for herself. The Herald-Tribune reports Mckinney works for a local doctor’s office as an IT specialist. A Walgreens pharmacy called the Sarasota County Sheriff’s office about unusual activity. Authorities say someone names “Toni” called in prescriptions for Tramadol for Mckinney, usually twice a month. That soon changed, and from January of last year to February of this year, McKinney got over 1700 pills. The charges are criminal use of a personal identification and 10 counts of fraud in obtaining medicinal drugs.
