A 63 year old Sarasota County Schools bus driver’s been arrested for allegedly hitting and biting an 11-year-old North Port special needs student. North Port PD say Max Bedwell’s charged with misdemeanor battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Herald-Tribune reports this happened March 6th. The child was being noisy, and Bedwell told the boy to be quiet. When he didn’t, Bedwell pulled over, had another driver take the wheel and forcibly tried to make the boy sit down. Investigators say bus cameras show Bedwell forcing the boy down, with help from othet students, one of whom slapped the 11-year old in the face several times.
