A night out tomorrow gives you the chance to help the Special Olympics.
Members of law enforcement tomorrow act as celebrity greeters and waiters at the annual Tip-a-Cop fundraiser.
It runs at Phil’s 41 Restaurant on Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda from 4:30 to 9 o’clock.
Those wearing badges want tips from you to benefit the Special Olympics.
This event precedes the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run. That happens Wed., Apr. 15. It involves 5,000 officers from 300 agencies across the state.
Charlotte County’s torch run starts that morning at 9 o’clock at the Publix on Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda. It ends at the Publix on Cochran Boulevard in Port Charlotte.
