A meeting tonight concerns the Florida International Air Show in Punta Gorda.

WINK-TV reports the possibility exists that the show could take place in October instead of next month.

Show chairman Tyler Ezzie says a general lack of support contributed to the cancellation for next month. Additional costs from the county also had something to do with it.

Ezzie says working with other scheduled air shows could help defray some of the costs.

The show board has asked the county to reconsider the $10,000 bill for EMS workers this year. It claims if that cost disappears and more support surfaces, then it can begin planning for October.
