The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has acted on a national cue.

The President has proclaimed this month National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, hoping to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the highways.

The sheriff’s office participates in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign starting today.

The campaign runs through New Year’s Day.

During the campaign, the sheriff’s office watches carefully for people who may drive impaired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
