Erin Hume’s out as Evidence Supervisor of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. She resigned September 19th after one of two investigations ended. NBC2 reports one of the investigations is till open, and the details won’t be made public right now. A sheriff’s department spokesperson says the involved Hume’s use of alcohol and her “untruthfulness.” The spokesperson says several of Hume’s colleagues were interviewed in an internal investigation of Hume’s conduct when she was called out to help with evidence in a marijuana grow house case in August. The questions involved whether she’d been drinking or smelled of alcohol.
