Another Florida judge’s overturned the state’s ban on same sex marriage in one county, but has stayed his ruling pending appeal. The latest is Broward County, and the ruling’s similar to those issued by judges ion Monroe and Miami-Dade. WINK reports all three judges found the voter-approved constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in the state violates gay residents’ right to equal protection under the law as guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia allow gay people to marry, and bans that have been overturned in several other states continue to make their way through the courts.
