A Punta Gorda man’s been arrested on multiple drug possession charges after getting pulled over yesterday by CCSO Street Crimes deputies for blowing a stop sign. Deputies say 23-year old Andrew Phung of Orchid Drive declined a vehicle search when he was pulled over at Starlite and Gibralter in Port Charlotte. He did allow them to search him, and they found a plastic bag with a syringe, a teaspoon and a plastic baggie containing 7.5 pills that were oxycodone. A K9 unit then searched the car, and officers found 23 Zanax pills, methamphetamine, glass vials of different types of anabolic steroids, along with several types of smoking pipes and syringes. Phung’s in the Charlotte County Jail.
