Gov. Scott signed a new $77 billion state budget into law today, but took out his veto pen to axe three Sarasota County projects. Scott vetoed $69-million in spending overall, and the Herald-Tribune reports that included $1 million for the Circus Arts Conservatory, $250,000 for the Sarasota fairgrounds and $1.6 million for renovations and remodeling at the Hamilton student center and nearby plaza at New College of Florida.
