Canada’s largest home builder, Mattamy Homes, is going to work with Vanguard Land, a Sarasota County developer and land buyer, for a massive home building project on Thomas Ranch. Mattamy bought the 9600 acres plus for $86-million. The Herald-Tribune reports they plan to build 700 to 2,000 homes/year starting in 2016. The county’s already approved the site for 11,000 homes and 3-million square feet of commercial space.
