The same way you shouldn’t leave valuables in your car, and make sure it’s locked, CCSO wants you to remember the same rules apply to your marine gear. Deputies and detectives are working several cases reported over this past weekend on Palm/Don Pedro Island in which marine equipment was taken. Items reported to have been taken include kayaks, paddleboards and expensive fishing equipment. Residents who live along waterways and canals are urged to make sure you bring in your fishing equipment from outside and lock up or secure other marine related items.
