Deputies arrested two people in Punta Gorda for making meth on Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office says it initially started out as a trespassing complaint off Burnt Store Road. The deputies found 39-year-old Richard Parson and 32-year-old Jennifer Motta-Guedes in a tent.

The office says Motta-Guedes knocked over a bowl and a paper towel containing yellow pills. Deputies saw a can of acetone in the area. They asked both people to leave the tent.

Inside the tent, deputies found several things with meth residue and ashes. These included syringes.

Outside, the deputies found a bucket containing camping fuel, crystal drain opener, lighter fluid, and tubes. A bottle of muriatic acid sat beside the bucket.
