Deputies caught a bike theft suspect napping at Wal-Mart yesterday.
The Charlotte County’s Sheriff’s Office says an Englewood resident reported someone went into his garage and tried taking a bicycle from the ceiling.
The resident’s son checked the South McCall Road Wal-Mart and found the missing bike in the bike rack. Store personnel checked surveillence to see who had left it there.
After looking at the video, they found 19-year-old Roy Hornjak of Englewood asleep on bean bag chairs inside the store.
Personnel asked Hornjak to leave, but he instead went to the Subway inside Wal-Mart. He fell asleep at a table there.
The sheriff’s office has booked Hornjak on burglary, theft, and drug charges.
