The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office pays special attention to speeders in Port Charlotte next week.

Starting Monday, deputies stake out stretches of two roads to watch for those who drive over the limit. They monitor Peachland Boulevard between Cochran and Harbor boulevards, and Highway 41 between Melbourne Street and Harbor Boulevard.

The sheriff’s office also enforces traffic lights and stop signs at two intersections.

Deputies have their eyes on Highway 41 and Veterans Boulevard in Port Charlotte, and at McCall and Spinnaker roads in Englewood.
