A Sarasota man’s is one of two people facing federal drug charges. 42-year old Michael Babiarz and 39-year old Aaron Remaley of Riverview were named in a federal indictment unsealed today, charging them with conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana. The Herald-Tribune reports federal prosecutors allege the pair worked to distribute pot in Sarasota, Hillsborough and Polk counties. If convicted, each man faces a maximum 40-years in prison. The Sarasota County Sheriff started the investigation.
