A Punta Gorda waitress found $1,000 on a seat and tried to give it back to the rightful owner. Instead, she accidentally gave it to the wrong person; who took the money and left. It was all caught on camera. On Sunday morning, the man woke up and saw himself on the news. The man who took the money went back to the restaurant on Sunday to right his wrong. He says it was an honest mistake – saying he also had a wad of cash in his pocket and assumed he dropped it. The man who lost the money, having already returned to Chicago, told the waitress to keep it.
