Fixing the collapsed section of Kenilworth Boulevard in Port Charlotte;s going to cost over $1-million and could see the road closed between Porter and Yorkshire for up to a year.   The street gave way when a culvert under it collapsed.  County officials say right now they don’t have the cash on hand to fix it, and since it isn’t a main road it’ll be closed for a while.  The county started an extensive water structure replacement project in Port Charlotte in 2000 because many of the drainage pipes are failing. So far, 26 of the 40 targeted have been replaced.
