A woman already convicted of embezzlement from one employer, is facing the same charges in Sarasota County. According to the Herald-Tribune, the latest victim noticed $41,000 missing from her accounts last December. They notified their bookkeeper, 46-year old Helle Rasmussen, that she had to make good on the money. When no arrangements were made for restitution, the victim called the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s office says Rasmussen was convicted in 2000 for embezzlement. She’s behind bars on $100,000 bond charged with larceny and fraud.
