Venice’s utilities department continues its water main replacement program. It looks to move water mains in the backs of private properties to the front of them. The program also replaces parts of old and deteriorating water pipes. The first phase of construction begins this fall. It runs south of Armada Road, north of Villas Drive, west of Harbor Drive, and east of Park Boulevard. It also includes part of Ponce de Leon and a new eight-inch water main under Hatchett Creek from North Warfield Avenue to Marcus Street.
