Florida legislators are being asked whether or not they’ll support holding a special session to deal with the state’s “stand your ground law.” Despite Gov. Scott’s refusal to call a special session, there’s a state law that allows lawmakers to bypass him, if at least 32-lawmakers say yes. If that happens, then three-fifths of the GOP controlled legislature have to vote yes before a session can be called. The only legislators who wrote letters requesting the session are Democrats.
