The North Port Economic Development Corp., says it’s upping its game. President Peter Bartolotta, tells the Herald-Tribune instead of referring leads to city hall, the NPEDC will be following up with prospects on its own. Bartolotta says there’s also discussion of the group doing marketing the city outside the immediate area. The economic development corporation will also be starting an open dialog with city hall on obstacles to economic development and possible solutions. The group says it wants to encourage businesses to move to North Port or expand here, and be there to help them navigate the process.
