The Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit responded Tuesday night to a Punta Gorda residence when the victims reported that two men forced their way into their house and demanded money.

One of the men was armed with a black handgun and the other was armed with a black long gun, possibly a rifle.

After the suspects entered the residence, they ordered the occupants to lay on the floor. They demanded to know where the money was kept while threatening the victims with the firearms. Once they located the cash, they fled the area.

One suspect is described as being tall with a thin build and wearing white sneakers with a red tag on them. The other suspect is described as being about 5 ft. 10 or 11 inches tall with a thin build and wearing black work boots. Both men were dressed in all black clothing and ski masks.
