The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 27-year old James Santo of North Port in two cases, thanks to fingerprints he left on a soda can found at the most recent crime scene. Last Tuesday, someone broke into the home of a 91-year old Englewood woman. The soda can was found on the workbench in the victim’s garage. The prints were identified the next day. Deputiews also say Santo had pawned several pieces of the victim’s jewelry. He’s charged with burglary and dealing in stolen property. He was already wanted for forgery in the theft of checks from an 82-year old man earlier this year.
