For the second time this year, Punta Gorda Police detectives and investigators from the State Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco Bureau of Law Enforcement teamed up today for an enforcement sweep in the city of Punta Gorda, targeting the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors. They checked 11 local businesses licensed to sell alcohol and tobacco products. All of them refused to sell alcohol or tobacco to a minor. Police Chief “Butch” Arenal says if you see someone selling booze or tobacco products to a minor in the city of Punta Gorda, should call the department at 941-639-4111.
