Sarasota County’s Office of Financial Management has won the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” for the 23rd time. This time for its fiscal year 2013 budget. The award is given by the Government Finance Officers Association, and is based on how well a budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and a communications device. The awards based on 27 factors, and the county got at least one outstanding rating in 21 out of the 27.
