Sheriff Bill Prummell welcomed 30 middle-school students from across the county to CCSO’s first Junior Law Academy this morning. Prummell says he hopes the Academy will leave them with a better understanding of what goes into providing law enforcement services for the County by providing them training similar to what deputies take. Among the things students in the Academy got to see today was the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters building and then the Aviation Unit at the airport. During the remaining 3 weeks of the academy, students will tour other criminal justice related facilities as well as classroom training.
