CCSO is in the middle of ‘Operation Parkside,’ which runs through June 9th. A department spokesperson says they’re targeting the Parkside area, to deter criminal activities. During this 17-day operation, the Sheriff’s Office will be concentrating their efforts in the areas of concern where there is a known problem with crimes, such as burglaries, thefts and drug activity. In the first 5 days of the operation, 29-people were arrested on a range of offenses, 12 on drug charges. the Sheriff’s Office will be hold a public event dubbed “Team Parkside” on Saturday June 8 at McGuire Park from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The theme for the day is “Teaming Together for a Safer Community.”
