Airport officials in Southwest Florida aren’t holding their breath, in spite of congressional assurances that the bipartisan bill Congress passed last week will save the 149 towers set to close due to the sequester. “There’s no reason for this. There’s enough money in the budget to handle it. We’re kind of pawns in a big, big battle,” said Gary Quill, Executive Director of the Charlotte County Port Authority. Officials in Naples echo the concern.
