Venice Police arrested a man for strong-arm robbery today after being called to TJ Max Shopping Center just after noon. Witnesses reported seeing a man on a bicycle riding past the grocery store in the shopping plaza as an elderly woman was coming out. They say the man grabbed her purse and rode around to the back of the building. Police found the purse in a nearby wooded area, but did not find the perpetrator until he was recognized at a bus stop in Pinebrook Plaza. The suspect’s identified as 22-year old Josh Stoner of North Port.
