When they meet March 20th, Sarasota County Commissioners will consider a staff recommendation to start working on a plan to move the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office to Cattleman Road. Sarasota County Planning and Development Services prepared an alternative to re-zoning and selling the 6-acre parcel of land at 1301 Cattlemen Road deemed as surplus property. That option instead plans three new building around the proposed new emergency operations center and forensics/medical examiners office:
