When Hurricane Charley slammed into Port Charlotte, it wiped out the coounty’s fleet management building. For almost 9-years the county housed its fleet at a warehouse owned by Denjer Enterprises. Now Denjer wants something from the county.

When the county moved its fleet to a new building last fall, Denjer Enterprises owners looked at the space the county’s fleet used: a cracked concrete driveway, pot holes in the parking lot, and damaged siding on the building. They sued for over $150,000 for repairs. In January the county offered a $100,000 settlement. County Commissioners are expected vote on it today.
