Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for your help locating two Punta Gorda area men wanted for intentionally striking a deputy with their fleeing pickup truck Wednesday night.
Detectives are looking for the driver of the white 1996 Toyota Tacoma pickup, Hunter Bruce Morrison, and his passenger Jeffrey Dean May. Detectives said two deputies were attempting to serve an active arrest warrant for May and were walking up the driveway at his home. May was inside the pickup with Morrison at the wheel; as deputies approached, May yelled for Morrison to run. Morrison backed out, then sped forward, driving at the two deputies striking one of them in the left leg. The deputy was treated and released.
