A Punta Gorda man faces additional charges in connection with several metal thefts in the community.

Authorities had already arrested Joshua Shane Crider earlier this month, charging him with stealing aircraft parts and selling them to a recycling business in Fort Meyers. They have now connected more case to him; 14 charges were filed eysterday. They include stealing sheet aluminum from a home on Melinda Avenue; three light poles from the Crisis Stabilization Unit; several large sheets of steel from a construction site to prevent cave-ins on Jones Loop Road; vehicle batteries, tools, and a radiator from a farm on Bronco Road. Many of the items were located at area recycling businesses.
