A Sarasota County auto glass company is being charged with fraud. State investigators acting on a tip are accusing the owner and an employee of New View Auto Glass in Sarasota of filing false invoices to insurance companies The charges coming after an under-cover investigator from the state Division of Insurance Fraud reported he took his car to the company, which recommended replacing his windshield — even though there was nothing wrong with it. The alleged result: a 507-dollar bill to the investigator’s insurance company.
