Charlotte County Inmate Charged With February Burglary
A man being held at the Charlotte County Jail has been charged in connection with a February burglary in Port Charlotte. Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement say blood found at the scene of a break-in at a home on Dorchester Street matched that of 24-year-old Christopher John Fernandez. Fernandez has been in the Charlotte County Jail since March on charges of auto theft, burglary to conveyance, resistering an officer, loitering and petit theft. He is now being charged with burglary and grand theft. Fernandez is a convicted felon with a total of 14 prior bookings. He remains in jail on no bond.
