Arrested For Illegally Dumping Homeless Shelter Trash

Environmental officers have arrested a man for illegally dumping trash from a homeless shelter. 29-year-old Michael Garrod of Punta Gorda has been hit with four felony and four misdemeanor counts of violation of Charlotte County litter laws. It was an alert resident with a digital camera who exposed the activity. The resident not only reported but offered photos of a white Ford pickup passing his house filled with trash then returning empty. Officers say the driver of that truck was Garrod and the trash came from Bread Of Life Mission.
