L.A. AingerEearns Top Award

A local group has awarded L.A. Ainger Mid­dle School its top recognition:

L.A. Ainger was recently named the 2012 STEMs­mart School of the Year by the Gulf Coast Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion of Venice. The foun­da­tion also pre­sented spe­cial awards to eight teach­ers for their inno­v­a­tive work in sci­ence and math edu­ca­tion, includ­ing three from Engle­wood schools. The teach­ers were among more than 90 mid­dle- and high-school edu­ca­tors from Sara­sota and Char­lotte coun­ties rec­og­nized at a cel­e­bra­tion at the Venice Yacht Club for teach­ers in the foundation’s STEMs­mart initiative.
