It’s been a long time in the offing but now a new low-impact-design storm water management system in Englewood has been approved. Sarasota County Commissioners giving the green light for 800-thousand dollars toward a pilot storm water system that would run along Dearborn Street west of State Road 776. The project will use low-impact water management technology and could be a precursor for future storm water management systems. Total price tag is around nine million dollars and includes funds from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
