Florida State Troopers arrested a Charlotte County man last night on charges he was the hit-and-run driver that killed a jogger on Deep Creek Boulevard last July. Joseph Howard was arrested without incident and is in the Charlotte County Jail charged with Hit-and-Run, with bond set at 10-thousand dollars. According to authorities, early the morning of July 5th, Howard lost control of
his vehicle and hit jogger Linford Daley. Trooper say Howard fled from the crash scene without providing aid to Mr. Daley or
calling for help. Daley died later.
