Sarasota police are looking for a man who certainly took the most direct approach to stealing a car: he walked up to a woman in her driveway, grabbed her keys and drove off in her minivan. Simple as that. Witnesses told officers that a few minutes before, the guy had walked into a house in a nearby neighborhood and demanded car keys When he didn’t get them, he left and stole the minivan. The thief described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, five-eleven 180 with brown hair. When last seen, he was driving off in a silver 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. It’ll have some damage because he hit the victim’s other vehicle on his way out.
