Police now say they know what a motorcycle rider was doing last weekend that caused his death. 22-year-old Henry Salem died in a Sarasota hospital after an accident while he was riding a dirt bike on Dixie Avenue near 29th Street. Witnesses have now told investigators that Salem was doing wheelies at the time. They say that on one of them, his front wheel had just come down as he approached – then ran through – a stop sign. A turning truck slammed into him and Salem was ejected from the motorcycle.
