A man fleeing a drunk-driving crash Saturday lost control in a tight curve and ran into a Siesta Key woman who was out jogging, killing her.

State troopers say 53-year old Donna Chen died after being struck Saturday afternoon by a Nissan Altima driven by 22-year old Blake Talman of Bradenton. Talman was speeding away from a rear-end crash on Midnight Pass Road and rounded a left-hand corner, left the road and hit Chen, then struck a street sign and a stopped car, finally coming to rest against a telephone pole in front of St. Michael’s Archangel Catholic Church and finally came to a stop. Chen was found face down in the middle of the roadway. Talman faces charges of vehicular homicide, hit-and-run property damage, DUI and nine additional traffic charges. He is being held without bail.
