Scott Named to Education Foundaton Post

Longtime community leader Susan Scott has been named exec­u­tive direc­tor of the Edu­ca­tion Foun­da­tion of Sara­sota County.

Board Chair­man Mike Bryant says Scott was the unanimous choice to replace Cindy Kaiser, who left to deal with fam­ily health issues at the end of October. Scott was Sara­sota County government’s deputy admin­is­tra­tor from 2003 to 2010, over­see­ing finan­cial plan­ning, human resources and tech­nol­ogy, then com­mu­ni­ca­tions direc­tor until last July. She starts her new job with the Education Foundation on Monday.
