A local foot and vein doctor is accused of writing phony prescriptions for himself. Darrell Moody has the details…

44-year-old Dr. Boyd Allen Robinson turned himself into the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office late Wednesday on two felony charges of obtaining Oxycodone by Fraud. Charlotte County investigators were tipped off by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office after deputies arrested the doctor last year on the same charges. Narcotics detectives say Robinson wrote himself prescriptions from another doctor’s pad. He used the phony prescriptions at least eight times at a pair of pharmacies in Englewood. Robinson was booked on 5-thousand dollars bond.
