Congressman Buchanan Won’t Run For Senate

The Congressman for Sarasota, Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee and Manatee counties says he wants to stay in the House of Representatives rather than move to the other side of the Capitol Building. Representative Vern Buchanan announcing he will not run for Senate in the 2012 elections. Buchanan is in his third term in Congress. The Republican from Longboat Key is a member of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee.
